Summer Decisions....

This summer has been one of the hardest, yet most exciting of my life! During the last couple months of high school I was presented with the opportunity to move to North Logan for the summer. My oldest sister Carolynn and her husband invited me to move into a room in their basement.

Pros:
I would get to spend more time with Carolynn and her family.
I would be living away from home for the first time.
I would get to spend more time with my older brother Darrell before he gets married on August 14th.
I would get to spend more time with Tyler.
I would get to spend the summer in beautiful Logan city.

Cons:

I would be without a car for the summer.
I would have to find a job.
I would be without my mom, dad and little sister Claire.
I would spend less time with Rachel's family and Kelly's family.
I would be paying ALL of my own bills.
I would be away from all of my AMAZING friends in South Jordan.

As you can see, there were definitely plenty of pros and cons to this huge decision. I stewed about it for months! I asked everyone I respected for their opinion...... I prayed and fasted about it multiple times.....I talked about it a lot with my mom and dad. And Carolynn. And my friends. Finally it hit me, either decision could be the right one. There was no right or wrong decision. I would be happy either way. After MUCH thought I finally decided to move to Logan city!

The last couple weeks of high school I packed up my room and moved only two days after graduation! I started my new job two days later at Select Satellite. Since I am without a car, I ride my handy-dandy bicycle to and from work everyday! Now that we're getting into late July it sure is getting quite toasty riding home from work at six o'clock in the afternoon! I definitely do my share of complaining, but regardless, I don't regret my decision to move to Logan for the summer.

Summer School.... Oh the joys of summer school. This is my third summer in a row!! Through Salt Lake Community Classes most classes are offered either over and eleven week period, or an eight week period. This summer I chose to do the eight week program. I started my three classes a week after graduation and I'll be done the first week in August!! Only two weeks left! Then I'll be done right in time for Darrell and Emily's wedding on August 14th! I can't wait for my three weeks of
PURE SUMMER!!
How summer is SUPPOSED to be!

Don't take me wrong, this summer has been wonderful. I've had lots of time to grow and strengthen relationships and I feel that I have grown as an individual as well. I've become more responsible and independent and I really feel like I'm ready for the college life!
